CHILDS NEEDLE FELTING KIT ~ 8 COLOUR ~ FOREST
This needle felting kit comes in a reusable bag to keep all of your pieces together.
Inside you will find 8 balls of roving (approximately 14g per ball), 2 felting needles and a sponge.
Many children have an innate sense of textures. Within their fingertips and their touch receptors they understand the difference between a natural texture and a man made item. Textures found in nature will allow for more investigation and response where as often a man-made fibre or texture does not offer positive emotions.
We have created this Needle Felting kit as a way for your child to spend time using their little fingers to not only spend time with natural NZ wool and the benefits of touch but to also create a wonderful sense of accomplishment (or failure) by creating a little piece of textile.
Within this set your child will receive 8 balls of NZ roving, 2 felting needles of varied size to allow for different details and a small sponge which is to be placed of a soft surface but will also be where the magic happens.
Needle felting is a process which uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibres to form a more condensed material. Wool fibres have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create this denser material called felt.
We recommend adult supervision and best for children 7 years +
Some colours may vary depending on availability.
