Oat & Thyme crackers

.
This is a super simple recipe to make while the kids are running around your feet!
Flick the oven on to 180 degrees celsius, combine all ingredients in either a bowl or blender, stand fo 5 mins. Spread thinly and evenly across two baking trays lined with baking paper, sprinkle with extra himalayan salt and lightly score into your desired cracker shapes. Bake for 15 mins - 20 mins then flip and bake for a further 10 -15 mins. Cool on a wire rack and store in a air tight container for up to two weeks (if you don't eat them first!)
.
1 cup of oats
1 cup of ground oats (use a spice grinder or blender)
1/2 cup ground linseed (we use golden)
2 cups of water
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp chia seeds (any seeds will work)
1 Tbsp himalayan salt
.
We aim to always use organic and fairly traded ingredients when possible.
Spread with your favourite toppings and enjoy !!!

  • Hello, I tried making these crackers yesterday. Unfortunately 1 tbsp salt was way too much and they were too salty. I doubled the amount of oats and added extra chia seeds too to try and balance this out. Worked pretty well but still on the slightly salty side. I wonder if you meant 1tsp? I added some thyme too. Lovely simple idea for crackers so will just reduce salt next time. Thanks.
